She rises early on food days. She gathers her volunteers, prepares, and packs the food. It takes a lot of work, but she does it every time she has the money to buy the food.

When the food is ready, she takes it to the block. Word spreads quickly, and people gather. Those who eat, tell others and quickly, more hungry people gather. It’s heartbreaking when the food runs out before the people stop coming.

The refugees in my our neighborhood don’t get three meals a day. That’s our focus. Food for families.

It’s overwhelming, to see the anticipation and joy in the eyes— especially of the children.

We can’t stand by while people are hungry. Please help us.

For $30 we can feed 100 children.
